Title:  GM&O 1517
Description:  Gulf Mobile & Ohio RS3 number 1517 was working the railroad's Shoreline Branch local from Bogalusa to Covington, Louisiana and had just paid a visit to the agent at the Southern Railway's depot in Slidell to exchange paperwork. Now that everyone was back on board, the engine was returning north on the Southern's "back track" to the GM&O connection about a mile away so it could continue on its way to Covington.

Title:  GM&O RS3 1518
Description:  The month after the Illinois Central Gulf was formed, Gulf, Mobile & Ohio RS3 1518 was parked outside the engine shed on the former GM&O in Bogalusa, Louisiana. The locomotive had been built in July 1950 and was assigned ICG number 1518, but it was retired March 1975 before it was ever repainted. No GM&O RS3 units were repainted as ICG locos.
