Title:  PRR 9392, ES-12, 1966
Description:  ELDO Action. Here is an original photo that I took of Pennsylvania Railroad trains in the Eldorado section of Altoona, Pennsylvania, during January of 1966. Shown here are two PRR trains: the one on the left is sitting still, but the one on the right is moving. On the left (R to L) are PRR engines #9819 and #9537. Both locomotives were built by EMD and are rated at 1,500 horsepower. #9819 is an EF-15A built in 1951, while #9537 is an EF-15 built in 1948. On the right is PRR engine #9392, an ES-12 switcher built by EMD in 1950 and rated at 1,200 horsepower. It is pulling a local train from Altoona through Eldorado to the Hollidaysburg Yards. It is actually by-passing the line-haul train that is still waiting for permission to proceed.

Title:  PRR 9394, ES-12, 1960
Description:  Good Day. Here is an original photo that I took of Pennsylvania Railroad property in Hollidaysburg, Pennsylvania, on 25 July 1960. Shown here is PRR engine #9394, an ES-12 built by EMD in 1950 and rated at 1,200 horsepower. This photo was taken near the Yard Master's Office, at the very eastern end of South Juniata Street. It was only after the price of oil went way up that the PRR started to turn them off when not working! #1 of 12.

PRR 9468, FF-20, 1960
Title:  PRR 9468, FF-20, 1960
Description:  Road Power. Here is an original photo that I took of Pennsylvania Railroad road locomotives in Hollidaysburg, Pennsylvania, on 22 August 1960. Shown here (R to L) are PRR engines #9468 and #9469. Both are FF-20's built by Fairbanks-Morse in 1948 and rated at 2,000 horsepower each. This photo reveals just how the process worked. The locomotives and one caboose would have been driven forward from East Altoona to the Wye Switches, turned about, and then run backwards from there to the Hollidaysburg Yards. This crew has just uncoupled from N-5 caboose #477020, which will be pulled to the far end of the Yard and coupled to the out-bound train by engine #9394 ~ an ES-12 switcher built by EMD in 1950. After the caboose is out of the way, this crew will back their FF-20 locomotives a bit further into the Yard and couple onto the train they'll pull out of Hollidaysburg up the New Portage Branch Line to Gallitzin and points West. This photo was taken just west of the intersection of Jones and South Juniata Streets. Visible in the distance is the PRR's Samuel Rea Shop.

Ford (FRDX) #12004 or #12084 ?
Title:  Ford (FRDX) #12004 or #12084 ?
Description:  Scanned from a print I took. This engine obviously says #12084 near the low end of cab, but may say #12004 on the front headlight number signs. Did they have 2 of these engines at one point at Connersville?
