Deep cold
Title:  Deep cold
Description:  It was deep snow and deep cold this day in January, temperatures in the teens, as was the depth of the snow pack. Does that keep me in?? Dont be silly. There are trains to chase. In this case, its BH 1 with a three builder consist, heading north up the connection from the D&H that was built as part of the Bevier St improvement, where the D&H bridges were raised to allow standard 136" trailers, and the ex DLW bridge used by the NYSW was removed in favor of the new connection.

Combined effort
Title:  Combined effort
Description:  Sometimes if there were not enough cars for two trains, 558 and 270 would be combined out of Buffalo. Such is the case here, as the 105 car train has power for both of its components, 270s power ahead, with 558s two CP units trailing. We see it at East Hornell, where it is about to meet a hi-wide Conrail extra.

Looking to Panama
Title:  Looking to Panama
Description:  A view of the Mopac looking east from OK 9. The line disappeared into the trees, came out briefly near a feed mill on the south side of town, then went back into cross country mode, heading for Panama OK and eventually Excelsior Ark. If there was a station at Keota, its long gone. I'm trying to picture a GP 18 and a dozen or so cars here.
