Description:  On a foggy morning, low-nose Espe GP9 3712 was pushing the ICG's New Orleans wreck train up the east approach of the Huey P. Long Bridge to help fix a derailment. The cars were crane 100408, boom car 100566, and remodeled passenger cars 100567, 100570 and 100569. The train is passing over the Mississippi River east bank levee.

ICG Derailment
Title:  ICG Derailment
Description:  ICG crane 100408 helps clean up the mess after six cars on southbound piggyback train P-55 derailed at East Bridge Junction. The crane was built by the Industrial Works of Bay City, Michigan in August 1918 as IC X-99. It was subsequently renumbered IC X-111 and then ICG 100408, and is now owned by the Louisiana Railway Heritage Trust. The yellow backhoe is on the ICG main line and the crane is on the NS-ICG interchange track, while the UP units on the right were on the New Orleans Public Belt.

ICG crane 100408
Title:  ICG crane 100408
Description:  Former Illinois Central Gulf 100408 was owned by the Louisiana Railway Heritage Trust when it was photographed in a suburb of New Orleans. The 120-ton crane was Industrial Works serial no. 3532 and had been built at Bay City, Michigan in 1918 as Illinois Central X-111. It was converted to diesel power in May 1955, was renumbered ICG 100408 after 1972 and was donated to the LRHT after it was retired.
