Robert Mckenney General Nice photo Jim! 4/1/2008 3:24:11 PM
Jeff Thoreson General Turn around and face the train, let it get a little closer and just out of focus. That's the shot RP.net loves. 4/2/2008 9:11:08 AM
Pat Scott General Keep in mind the shot probably being referred to here was artistically done. The train was out of focus for a reason. It's called depth of field. Some people do a little more than simply point a camera at a train and click a button. 5/2/2008 9:41:13 PM
Scot Langton General Sweet Shot!!! and you say RP REJECTED THIS? WHY? 6/26/2008 3:07:03 PM
Rick Hoar General Jim, I've looked at most of your photos and read your statement on your RRPICARCHIVE.net home page. I think you have to decide why you're posting train pics. Is it for someones approval or is it to share a shot that only you've seen up to this point with fellow railfans? 165 rejections and the harsh comments from the self proclaimed profection folks is beating yourself up a little. Why don't you stop, post everything here where people appreciate the shot and maybe hope for improvement or offer meaningful suggestions. If you read my statement on the home page you'll see that I just appreciate the train that I otherwise would not have seen. I'd concentrate on the folks that appreciate your work and forget the other guys. I like your pics! 9/15/2008 4:29:16 PM

Allan Love Jr General I agree with alot of the comments on here. This is a very good photo to say the least. At least your trying. Good luck. And keep up the good work. 11/22/2008 5:40:49 PM
Earl Hampton General Jim, first thanks for commenting on my photos. Second, I had a similiar experience with the "other guys" and gave up immeadiately! One thing they said was it was material already covered. If that were the case then 3/4s of all their pictures should not be on the site. Also way too critical about lighting, angle and depth. Not every shot has to be a roster shot. I want to encourage you to keep up with your photography of trains, don't let the other guys get you down. You will treasure them later in life. I have stuff from the early 80s when I went to work for L&N rr that can never be duplicated. Really helps with modeling too! Best, Earl 12/4/2008 1:43:43 PM
Hunter Williams General Cool train, cool shirt, cool pic. Enough said. 1/13/2009 5:48:16 PM
