John Walker General This is the town hall in Taylorsville and is built to replicate the old depot, which was torn down. The active track thru town was removed in the 1990s. 5/31/2010 1:35:45 AM
J. Williams General Yes this is a Newly built Station that looks like the old one for use as a Town Hall, and town function. This is the only "section" left of the old Main line Per a IC employee. Thanks. 6/1/2010 8:28:29 AM
John Walker General In the 50s, when I was < 10, there was a great deal of logging that went on around Taylorsville. I remember seeing oxen pulling Linsey log wagons loaded with logs that were to be loaded on the Illinois Central. Most of those logs went south, through Summerland and Soso and on to Laurell. 4/17/2021 1:38:04 PM
