Narrow gauge and standard gauge car size comparison
Here we see an On3 boxcar and an O scale gondola mounted on narrow gauge trucks. You can see the size comparison. The mounting of standard gauge cars on narrow gauge trucks was a common practice by the EBT, done in the Mt Union yard using a structure called the Timber Transfer. The EBT did such things to haul standard gauge cars over their rails south to Orbisonia, and then sent the cars out the Shade Gap branch. Those cars usually hauled materials that were used to build the Pennsylvania Turnpike.
