| Chicago Burlington & Quincy Railroad 4-6-0 Class K-2 637 at Galesburg, Illinois on April 5, 1959, Kodachrome by unknown photographer, Chuck Zeiler collection. Number 637 was on display at the Galesburg roundhouse during a fan trip. Although there is a bit of smoke coming from the stack, the locomotive was not under steam. Oil soaked waste was tossed down the stack to create the illusion, as evidenced by the scorch marks at the lower front of the smokebox. |
