Scott Malec General Wow! This is the first I've seen of them painted! I can't wait to see them in Blue Island! 9/6/2008 3:28:41 PM
Allan Love Jr General Oh my God that is AWESOME. 9/6/2008 3:49:53 PM
Neil Stutzman General Extending the stripe all the way to the end would look better. 9/6/2008 6:10:32 PM
Steve E General Good Looking paint scheme ! But extend the stripe completely around the unit and paint the trucks silver 9/6/2008 7:38:40 PM
Ken Roble General I see they have also applies the old RI shield logo on the nose. Too bad they couldn't had it painted in the RI red/yellow colors like the AOK did and lable it "The Spirit of the Rock Island RR". 9/6/2008 11:33:18 PM
Joe Usselman General Not bad looking, I can't wait to see them in Blue Island either. 9/6/2008 11:33:53 PM
Jeff Carlson General If there were a unit to be painted in a special scheme of any variety, I'd put my money on it being the #500. 9/6/2008 11:42:12 PM
Wyatt McCoy General I doubt these will be up the Blue Island way too often unless thats where they pull caol because these are going on the coal trains. 9/7/2008 8:34:02 PM
Tom Stolte General The lighting strip sucks big time! 9/7/2008 8:36:38 PM
Jerry Krug General Overall, looks great. I wonder about the sharp angle of the lightning stripe but the rounded ends. A pointed or jagged edge on each end might have been more on theme. The big picture is that the railroad is making money and is bullish on its future and on the territory it serves. 9/7/2008 9:57:10 PM
Robby Gragg General AS much as I like this new scheme it is sad to see a all EMD road get GEVOs. 9/8/2008 2:47:15 PM
DiMario-Felice Strong-Baker General THAT IS NICE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Beautiful shot, Jeff! Please, keep 'em comin'! 9/8/2008 9:54:09 PM
Jacob Robinson General I imagine these things will make it into the Blue Island area pulling the unit ethanol trains. 9/9/2008 1:34:21 AM
Joe Atkinson General Someone suggested that the stripe's tapered front was done to give the impression that the nose curves inward, E-unit style. Also, I believe the rear of the stripe stopped short of the radiator grills since they'd be so difficult to mask and paint. 9/9/2008 8:42:41 PM
Erik Hoelzeman General You are correct thease are going to pull the ethanol trains the us gov gave them the money to builds and improve there track for all the ADM ethanol trains!! I Work in the veg oil biz 9/29/2008 2:58:23 AM
