Tom Beckett	General	Nice catch. These units ran all over, but mostly in the Chicago area. EMD used 462 as a test bed for various equipment under development, a real world R&D tool. They could have anything under the hood, so to speak, and were used in creating the 645 engine in its various forms at this time. I think later it was also used for the 710, which powered the SD 50, 60, and 70.	10/31/2015 12:37:31 AM
