Mark Hillgartner General Pulling west into Normal, AL. 8652 was built for the US Army in 1945 by ALCo to support the war in Europe. US Army Transportation Corps units #8650-8679 were sent to Europe in May and June 1945. As VE day was May 8, 1945, it likely did not see service during WW II. Here it is pulling car 6082, 6090, 139 and 1000. A little piece of locomotive 213 can be seen at the end. 11/30/2020 4:07:07 PM
