The Fairmont Factor  Contributor's Pick!
Fairmont OK, located about 11 miles east of Enid, at one time featured a diamond where the Frisco and Santa Fe crossed. As of 2001 the former ATSF branch south to Guthrie was abandoned but the BNSF used the line west to Enid (curving to the right here) as its "Main One", giving the road a short stretch of dual trackage into Enid.
