Small Transfer
Todays WC transfer is a shadow of its former self as its seen here, the transfer has been pretty short in recent months, and the days of 100+ cars out of New Brighton are a thing of the past for the time being.

Andre Wehrle General 4400 HP widecabs on a transfer? Come on. Nice shot, anyway! 6/12/2009 1:21:56 AM
TJ Gaspers General As a CP conductor and a neighbor of these tracks 2 blocks west of this shot, I will verify that he is correct- this is the WC (CN) Transfer- runs from Stevens Point to New Brighton, MN, daily. From New Brighton it interchanges with the MNNR at New Brighton, CP at Humboldt, and BNSF at Northtown, and heads back to Point (the reason for the big power every day). 6/20/2009 11:25:34 AM
TJ Gaspers General Oh, and I love the big rail and the super-elevated curve on what is now industrial track over that bridge! Not including the siding a few miles east, its the last of the double track main. 6/20/2009 11:28:09 AM
