Eastbound UP Loaded Coal Train  Contributor's Pick!
A train that usually uses the UP River Sub. between Kansas City and Jefferson City, UP Train CCAWL9 05, is using the UP Sedalia Sub. today thanks to the Missouri River Flooding inundating the River Sub. with several feet of water in multiple locations. Here the train is beginning to crest Independence Hill at Independence Jct.

UP adds extra power to these detour trains to get them over the hill, and this one sported a Dash-8 on the head end and a pair of AC4400CWs, UP 6440, and UP 6854 on the rear in DPU Mode. The DPUs lost com coming up the hill and the train stalled, prompting mechanical to come out and relink them, enabling the train to proceed east.
