River Gabbert General If you look closely at the side, you can see a patch mark. UP 7001 was originally a demonstrator AC4400CW used by GECX. It was painted into the UP colors by GECX because UP was interested in purchasing the AC4400CW at the time but these were still owned by GECX. UP 7001 was originally GECX 4001, and when UP purchased the locomotive they just patched over the GECX lettering and numbers and put their own number over the original. UP 7001 has since been rebuilt and now wears the American Flag livery. 10/25/2022 2:15:36 PM
