Pullman "Diplomat"         
The "Diplomat" is being restored to her original 1927 appearance. It once ran on the "Wabash Cannonball" from 1945-55.

Donald G Hattier DC General During the Wabash period, the open platform had been turned into an enclosed vestibule. The interior was changed from 27 swivel seats to rows of bench style seating. The DCNRHS changed the name back from City of Danville to Diplomat. The rear platform was recreated and the wall moved back to its original location by Bill Jenkins of Lincoln DE. The interior is being returned to the open seating arrangement as awell. 12/10/2011 8:12:15 PM
