| PURCELL OK Sept 1977 -- A Santa Fe GP20 and two lease units pass the abandoned engine facility at the south end of Purcell. Still standing is the sand tower. Not visible are the water tank, roundhouse and turtable. A friend of mine put his car on the turtable and turned it by hand. The last thing to be turned on the Purcell turntable was an Oldsmobile Cutlass. |
