The eastbound local rolls through Belleville. The vantage point for this!shot was the embankment for the overpass of the L&N line through town. L&N is gone, but the overpass is still there - these days used by St. Louis Metrolink LRVs.

Steve Bowles General The previously mentioned overpass (L&N, SBD) is no longer in existance since it has been replaced by a newer trestle made of concrete. This replaced the old L&N trestle made of wood and steel. I think it was replaced when they built Metrolink into Belleville. 11/11/2019 3:48:42 PM
