| PORTLAND OR Oct 2 1978 -- Burlington Northern GP35s 2540 and 2335 are about to roll by Portland Terminal S2 40. EMD built the unit (b/n 29284) for the Chicago Burlington & Quincy in October 1964 as CB&Q 994. It was rebuilt into a GP39E (b/n 897016-1) in June 1990, renumbered BN 2904 and gained whiteface paint. It now wears the number BNSF 2904 and is still in BN paint (as of March 18 2012).
