ATSF 3665
GUTHRIE OK September 1979 -- Santa Fe GP39-2 3665 leads a TOFC train. EMD built the 3665 (s/n 74664-49) in April 1979 and delivered it in yellow warbonnet. Sometime between mid-1985 and mid-1986 it was renumbered 3164 for the proposed Southern Pacific-Santa Fe merger but was not repainted SPSF. It regained its 3665 number before June 1987. In June 1987 the Cleburne TX shops rebuilt it as a GP39-2u and renumbered it 3423. On Sept 22 1985 it was transferred to BNSF. On March 15 2000 it was patched BNSF and renumbered as 2792.
