Tom Beckett General Cool photo!! Looking at the big power they use today, makes you wonder how they ever got over Belden Hill(and Richmondville) with a 4-4-0. 1/20/2016 2:30:43 AM

Tom Beckett General Home page 04-21-2018 The scene has not changed much, except that NY 235 now runs under the south end of the bridge, which would be at the far left of the photo. And the trees are a little taller now. Wylie Creek still runs under the bridge, as it does here. There's a small parking area, out of the photo to the right, which is a great place to sit while waiting for the action. I'm going to guess the photographer is standing in the Penn Division bridge over Wylie Creek, and whatever preceded NY 7, which is at about the same location. That bridge is now gone, having been removed after the Penn was finally abandoned following the reopening of Belden Tunnel in the mid 80's after it was enlarged to accommodate double stacks. 4/21/2018 3:26:30 AM
