Adirondack Scenic 1681
Interesting history, started out as a C&O Coach, then was rebuilt as a cab car in the 80s for PATrain and then to SLE/CDOT and ended up here on the Adirondack Scenic

Jerry LaBoda General This car has never been a cab car on the C&O, it was just a simple corrugated 52-seat coach built by Pullman-Standard. The cab configuration was applied when PaTrain had it rebuilt to a cab - generator - first class coach. Its use was rather short... the service ended just a couple years after it was rebuilt, with the cars that were rebuilt being sold to CDOT. NS has some of the ADIX cars now... slowly rebuilding them for excursion service, including one of the cab - generator - coach cars, now NS 42 TENNESSEE. 10/29/2013 6:50:53 PM
