Matt Giardino	General	I wish we could have saved it. That was our intention when we aquired it from the Mohawk Hudson Chapter NRHS. We were put into an impossible situation with the railroad that owned the property though (and we completely understand) and it ended up being a "get rid of it or we will take it and get rid of it". When it came right down to it, the locomotive was missing enough parts to make even a cosmetic restoration difficult. It will not be a wast though as parts went to other operating RS3s and money from the scrapping will go towards the preservation of an even rarer ALCO locomotive.	11/8/2013 10:54:02 AM
