CSXT Q57424 Climbing the Tennessee Ridge at MP 000154. Pigeons roost was actually a location halfway up South Tunnel hill that was a flat part of the hill. It was said Pigeons Roost was nicknamed after an oldhead stem engineer that would stop his train there to build up steam for the rest of the climb up South Tunnel. Photo by Mike Riddle
