| Conrail had a couple of units painted to encourage purchase of US Savings Bonds. One of them leads ML 440 as seen from the overpass at Hunt, just east of the Portage Bridge. The signal alongside the train was a semaphore til a couple of years earlier; up til then there were a pair of them here. When track 2 was lifted, the signal was replaced with a Type G cluster signal. The roadbed of former track 2 has been graded and ballasted to make a maintenance road. |
