IATR 31         
Iowa Terminal Railroad 31 at Emery, Iowa on an unknown day, photographer unknown, Chuck Zeiler collection. Number 31 was built by the Cincinnati Car Company in 1922 as Chicago North Shore & Milwaukee Railroad Mechandise Motor 216. The Iowa Terminal acquired three of these motors after the CNS&M shut down in 1963 (#'s 216, 234, and 239), number 31 (216) was lost in a fire on Thanksgiving day in 1967. Former CNS&M 234 was stored until 1968, then renumbered to IATR 33. The former 239 was never used on the Iowa Terminal but was stripped for parts.
