PC 4977         
Taken in Pavonia Yard (date approximate), this E40 once belonged to the New Haven Railroad (NH 377 EP-5). Upon acquisition by Penn Central and deligated to freight assignments, one of 4977's pantographs was removed as well as its steam generator. This unit was eventually scrapped in 1979.
