Rolling out of Union Station  Contributor's Pick!
Most people dont think of Utica as being a "union station" since in their experience it handles only Amtrak. For a period in the 1980s and 90s, it truly fit that description, handling not only Amtrak, but also trains to the 1980 Olympics, and the occasional NYSW excursion. The station is to the far right, out of the photo behind the white building. The ex NYC is to the left of the train; you can see the ex NYC tower just beyond the lead unit. I wonder if anyone took advantage of the connection for this trip.
