Pullman WOODLAND
Built in 1930 by Pullman in Lot #6360 to Plan #3410B as a 12S-1DR sleeper, 1 of 9 such cars built in that Lot. 6 of these 9 cars were built for UP's PORTLAND LIMITED, including the WOODLAND. The other 3 cars were built for the CAPITOL LIMITED. At the 12/31/1948 divestiture, UP acquired 5 of the PORTLAND LIMITED cars; the WOODLAND was retained by Pullman. Pullman sold the WOODLAND to John W. "Jack" Ferris' Private Railroad Cars, Incorporated in October 1965. The Oregon, Pacific & Eastern RR in Roseburg, OR, later acquired the WOODLAND, and it was later resold to the Galveston RR Museum. Iowa Pacific acquired the WOODLAND from Galveston.
