J. Williams General Nice Catch! 5/25/2008 9:59:22 AM
Mike Woodruff General Despite the lettering, this is almost certainly a former SAL car, one of the 1947 Budd built tavern-lounge-obsv cars that were numbered SAL 6600-6605 and later went to Amtrak. Does this car have a number on it anywhere? 4/23/2009 8:12:42 AM
Donald Whatley General I've explained to this group many times that this is an SAL car not ACL. They really don't want to hear it. Their prime interest is operating their toy train rides on the weekend not historical accuracy. The car is in early Amtrak shape with loud interior colors and a "disco" look. Would look much better in SAL lettering. 7/9/2009 10:46:42 AM
Jonathan Hinely General It would, but at least it is preserved 3/1/2010 9:26:18 PM
Jon Nickerson General Don't worry. All that ACL junk has been removed and the car has been re-lettered as Seaboard. The Collier County Museum now operates this facility, and we have no interest in toy train rides! 4/6/2011 10:21:01 AM
willis ford General Great to see it still around no matter what is on it... 4/25/2011 12:07:43 AM
