Rounding the curve  Contributor's Pick!       
This spot was a good place for photo, though most fans paid more attention to the semaphores a mile to the east. Ayres Rd, which crossed the tracks at the signals, came back around and went over them on a bridge. By this time, the bridge was closed and the deck removed, but the end of it was still a good spot. We see OIBU rolling west approaching it, at the same spot where Bob Wilt caught the LV Sayre Turn, which ran on the now abandoned LV Auburn Branch, being overtaken by an EL westbound, seen on page 79 of EL in Color, Vol 2.
