CEI 2-8-2 #1914 - Chicago & Eastern Illinois  Contributor's Pick!       
This is one of the first 25 Mikados built by Alco-Brooks in 1912 for the Chicago & Eastern Illinois. Specs - N-1 class, 63" drivers, 175 psi boiler pressure, 28x30" cylinders, engine weight of 300,000 lb, tractive effort of 55,533 lb. The class was retired between 1947-50. The two water towers identifies the location as the Dolton yards. No date or photographer listed for this photo.
