Photo Caption: "American type, Class P (D14) Locomotive, designed in 1894." Shown here is PRR engine #1669, a D-14 (4-4-0) "American" built in the Altoona Machine Shops during July of 1893 and retired in August of 1912 after just 19 years of revenue service.
