Photo by Philip R. Hastings. Photo Caption: "Cutoff man waves away 'Liberty's' helper." Partially visible here (L to R) are Pennsylvania Railroad engines #5853 and #8610. #5853 is an EP-20 built by GM-EMD in September of 1947 and rated at 2,000 horsepower. #8610 is an APS-24MS built by the American Locomotive Company in January of 1956 and rated at 2,400 HP.
