Erie 704A, FTA, c. 1955
Parade 2. Here is a duplicate 35mm color slide of a photo by David Connor that was taken near Snedekerville, Pennsylvania. Shown here are three locomotives: two steamers and one diesel electric. On the right are two unidentified Pennsylvania Railroad Class I-1SA (2-10-0) "Decapods," while on the left is Erie Railroad #704A, an FTA built by GM-EMD during 1944 and rated at 1,350 horsepower. Mr. Ken May suggests that the latter locomotive might have been using PRR tracks during the aftermath of Hurricane Diane. The exact date is not recorded.
