| Another close up view of the drivers on this 1941 Lima built 2-8-4 Berkshire, orginally Pere Marquette #1225 but absorbed into the C&O roster in 1947. An unknown photographer did a photo slide study of this beautiful machine while on static display at Michigan State University. Its story after this point is an interesting one with many dramatic moments and the dedication by a group of rail activists originally from the university. The date is approximate. |
