CO 0-8-0 #345 - Chesapeake & Ohio
This Alco-Cooke 0-8-0 yard switcher was built in 1923 as Pere Marquette #1315, class C-13. No date was given and the location by R.D. Patton was listed as Ganley's Ridge, WV. I cannot find that location anywhere. Can anyone help with this one? Jonathan Spurlock has found Handley, WV, as having several of the landmarks in a couple of photos that were marked as Ganley's Ridge, so will use that location until someone knows exactly where Ganley's Ridge is.

Rev. Jonathan Spurlock General C&O did have a small yard at Gauley Bridge, WV (K&M Junction) but this doesn't seem to fit. Gauley Bridge was right smack against the Gauley and New Rivers, forming the Kanawha if my geography's right and the hills to the north. Compare this photo with the facilities at Gauley Bridge in August 1987 in this album: http://www.rrpicturearchives.net/archiveThumbs.aspx?id=92245 With the relatively level looking terrain, maybe this photo was taken in Ohio somewhere? 3/22/2019 7:47:29 PM
