Their 45-ton GE number 2 was General Electric serial number 15294, built in December 1941 as Weldon Springs Ordnance Depot number 1. This plant was about 25 miles west of St. Louis. The loco was subsequently United States Army 7325, then Avondale Shipyard 3 at Avondale, Louisiana; then Intracoastal Tubular 2 at Harvey, Louisiana and then Bayou Railcar 2. |
