WWI Tunnel Defenses, Spruce Creek, #2 of 2, c. 1918
WWI. Here is the second of two images showing military forces defending the eastern portals of the Pennsylvania Railroad's tunnels in Spruce Creek, Pennsylvania, c. 1918. Present for duty are soldiers from G Company, 3rd Infantry Regiment, U.S. National Guard. What a deal: getting paid for defending the Nation, camping, fishing, hunting, and train watching in Spruce Creek Paradise! The photographer's name and the exact date are not recorded.
