PRR 8581, ES-15, 1957         
MDiv. Here is a duplicate 35mm color slide of a photo by John Dziobko, Jr., that was taken in Lewistown, Pennsylvania, on 17 August 1957. Shown here (L to R) are Pennsylvania Railroad engines #8581 and #5759. #8581 is an ES-15M built by GM-EMD in September of 1953 and rated at 1,500 horsepower. #5759 is an AFP-20 built by the American Locomotive Company as an AP-20 in December of 1947, rated at 2,000 horsepower, regeared and reclassified as an AFP-20, and retired in September of 1962 after just 15 years of revenue service.
