Here is the eighth of eight original photos by Douglas C. Jones that were taken at the Coaling Tipple in East Altoona, Pennsylvania, c. 1957. Parked underneath the Tipple is Pennsylvania Railroad engine #6773, an M-1A (4-8-2) "Mountain" built in Juniata during November of 1930 and retired in September of 1955 after 25 years of faithful service. Visible at the left are the Eastbound Locomotive Ready Tracks. Beyond them, the smokestack marks the location of the East Altoona Roundhouse Power Plant.
