Using All Three BN Tracks in 1991  Contributor's Pick!
Yes, all three tracks on the ex-CB&Q's racetrack between Aurora and Chicago are used as this 3-way meet shows. The eastbound intermodal train is waiting for the eastbound "dinky" (so named in the era of 17-car intercity trains) on the center track to cross over in front of it to be able to make its next station stop. The dinky has red over green on the signal bridge meaning diverging route. The other dinky is rolling westbound. All taking place on the BN at Lisle, Illinois on May 13, 1991.
