Amtrak Train 93 sorthbound         
I've onl seen a cab car like this one once at Union Station in Washington a year or so ago. I don't know if Amtrak has more than just this one. /DL.

K Mortens General Amtrak now runs cab cars on the Keystone service (NYP-PHL-HAR) after a PennDOT funded upgrade to the Main Line from Philly to Harrisburg. The use of cab cars allow the trains to avoid having to use the tight radius wye in Harrisburg, which the diesels always had to use. Also, AEM-7 are typical power so the top speeds have moved to 110 mph rather than the 90 mph the Genesis motors were limited to doing (although before the track upgrade, there were many stretches, especially between Lancaster and E-town that going over 50 mph was crazy. 7/22/2007 9:54:32 PM
