I remember riding these when they were actually Metroliners!! The Atglen & Susquehanna was part of the PRR freight network-there was a companion line east of Parkesburg that was part of the Morrisville Cut Off, which was a freight bypass that went direct to Morrisville PA, where it rejoined the Main Line. There is still a yard there; Conrail used it for Trailvans(picked up containers there from time to time); don't know what they do there now. To the west, the line crossed the Susquehanna River at Shocks Mills, and ran on into Enola. It was electrified in 1936, and saw heavy electrified freight up til the Conrail era. Wish I had been able to stand in Parkesburg in the mid 60's, to see GG 1's, E 44's, and various other Pennsy motors.
