| Standing out in the open area around the Faithorn, IL yard is MILW 2-8-2 Mikado #323. Originally built as Chicago, Milwaukee & St Paul #8612, it was renumbered in 1938 to MILW 323. After nearly 35 years of service, the loco was retired in April of 1953. Specs - L3 class, 63" drivers, 200 psi boilter pressure, 27x32" cylinders, engine wt of 320,000 lb and tractive effort of 62,949 lb. This is a Burns photo.
