A few passengers were out on the open platform of Illinois Central Gulf office car 1 as it was leaving New Orleans Union Passenger Terminal on an industrial development special bound for Baton Rouge. The two locomotives were the railroad’s second Bicentennial GP38 1776 (ex-9503) and GP38-2 9615, the <I>JOHN A. LOGAN.</I>
