BEEP BEEP! The one of a kind rebuild of a Baldwin Locomotive Works VO-1000 switcher with a 16 cylinder EMD 567 Prime Mover and a GP7 hood rests at the shops after a tiresome career switching ATSF and BNSF yards, industries, and shops, the Beep's career is over. The unit received the nickname since it is basically a "Baldwin Geep". As couple shop employees walked past, one said to Dane and I, "Hail to the Beep, she's goin' down!" It was later donated and moved to the Western American Railroad Museum in Barstow, CA. Read more about the Beep here: http://atsf.railfan.net/beep/ .
The line of Oakways are a recent addition to the engines here. The Beep, 1460 is off to the right in this picture.
Grab shot, but some cool stuff regardless.
Quite the colorful consist I might add.
Sorry it's washed out, but unfortunately I don't control Mother Nature.
Former ATSF hybrid. Previously was assigned to Argentine
That's what you get when you cross a Baldwin VO1000u and an EMD SW7.
