A close up look at the CN transfer I caught just east of Cardigan Jct this day. The UP unit is a nice touch, but not substitute for the glory days of the Wisconsin Central and its colorful locomotive fleet.
The CN transfer sits just east of Cardigan Junction awaiting clearance to proceed. The UP unit was a pleasant dash of color.

After school I caught UP Train MPRPB 15 with 5 units headed past Malden Yard.

This unit was reported shooting flames out of it's stack down around Halsey, then further south down the line at Malden, MO. Obviously the 9365 wasn't feeling good this day.

Looking the part of a unit that has spent a good amount of time on the former SP (specifically in the I-5 Corridor), UP C40-8W 9365 leads UP SD60M 6231 and NS GP50 7080 as they usher NS 391 through Memphis on a sunny afternoon on June 24, 2003.
