Both of these Indiana Railroad SD40-2's came from Burlington Northern via HLCX and were the solid roster members until newer locos were purchased much later. No photographer was listed for the photo which is now part of my collection.
Nice roster shot of Indiana Railroad SD40-2 #42 taken by an unknown rail fan near the south side of Indianapolis. Originally built as Burlington Northern #7234, it landed on the Inrdiana Railroad roster with a new paint job and the number INRD 42. Eventually it would be renumbered 4002.
INRD SD40-2s on a mine run near Dugger. INRD 42 is ex-BN 7234, later renumbered to INRD 4002.

This is a very rare find in Avon Yard.
Nice change in pace over the usual power.
After a week of watching these sneek by at night, I finally caught them in the daylight! Of course it was raining...
Waiting wil they can handle them east.
No idea why thete have been hanging around all the sudden, but I'm not complaining!
