A LMX leads a BN SD40-2, and a BN B30-7AB into Cherokee Yard. On tax dead line day back in 1996.
GWRX GP10 No.1039 dead in tow rolls into Provo to be set out along with it's simple three car train. This early BNSF Trackage Rights train will then pick up a new 62 car train before heading east to the mile high city. The 1950's built former Mid-South GP10 is heading for the Utah Railway at Provo.
What a joy it was to see classic Burlington Northern SD40-2's on early BNSF Trackage Rights trains on the former Rio Grande Mainline. Here we have BNSF's Stockton-Denver Manifest with a 62 car train 8099 came into Provo with a simple 3 car train and a former Mid-South GP-9 both of which were dropped off in Provo.
Powerful looking even at rest.
